A multinational financial services organization is seeking a Linux Senior System Administrator to join their team in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field
10+ years experience in System Administration of Linux/UNIX systems in a in a large environment
An excellent understanding of network services (DNS, HTTP, SNMP)
The ability to work within multiple scripting languages (Ruby, Python)
Proficient in security tools and protocols (e.g. SSH, SSL, TCPwrapper, nmap, COPS, Tripwire, etc.)
Understanding of basic network concepts, familiarity with TCP/IP and VLAN functionality
Strong knowledge of server bare metal hardware in large data centers including enterprise storage systems
Demonstrated experience with PXE booting Linux Based OS installs
An understanding of LVM, x86 hardware knowledge, Hardware/OS RAID concepts and familiar with Linux OS recovery process.
Exposure to VMware knowledge and Virtual/Physical servers / OS concepts and differences.
The ability to automate solutions to repetitive problems/tasks
Excellent troubleshooting skills towards root cause analysis and practical issue resolution
A proven track record debugging traffic flows from Linux Based systems
Knowledge of hardware and OS Driver Troubleshooting for Linux Based Systems
Experienced with automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible) to deploy and configure environments
The ability to work with agile development teams and DevOps
