Kforce has a client in search of a DevOps Engineer in San Diego, CA.

Job Requirements:


  • Strong experience/background in Java development (Builds are in Groovy/Java)
  • Strong AWS (emphasis on cloud formation) (the more AWS services the better for this group)
  • Strong experience in python and bash scripting for automation
  • Strong experience with Jenkins: building and maintaining the build infrastructure
  • Experience with Maven
  • Strong experience working in a Customer-Focused role; Will be working with any specific teams in SD that are having issues with their builds or deployments, gathering requirements, collaborating, etc.
  • Strong Software Engineering mentality: Someone who can proactively identify solutions to potential issues before it becomes an issue
  • Experience with one of the following configuration management tools: Ansible, Chef, or Puppet (Ansible would be preferred)
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk or data dog (data dog preferred)
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum Environment (working off of 2-week sprints)
Preferred Skills/Requirements:
  • Experience with Kubernetes for containerization
  • Experience with Golang
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Experience with Data Dog for monitoring/alerting
